Not sure if this counts as personal reasons, but I once took over a non-performing contract where one of the incumbent developers had been there for years and tried at all costs to avoid adopting any of the policies or practices we were instituting to resolve known issues. At one point I asked him a question in a client meeting that he should have been able to answer in his sleep (“which of these tasks are already complete?”) and he absolutely lost his shit IN the meeting, in front of the client. I tamped that down, closed the meeting, walked out of the room, and he got in my face in a mildly obscenity-filled diatribe. I then said “Understood, and consider this my formal acceptance of your two-weeks notice. I’ll send an email to HR letting them know you’ve resigned.”
A year or two later I got in an Uber and he was my driver... 😱

I was laid off since my manager had a grudge against me in one my projects in PwC SAP practice. The wordings he put on snapshot reflected his grudge. But HR failed to see that and also my practice partner. I was rated 2 for 2 years and still laid off. Manager was incapable enough to run projects but always on sales mode so leaders could not see the glitch. Heard that he moved to SM due to some stupid rule in PwC this year that any managers with certain number of exp in M3 is automatically promoted to SM. But glad that I am not in toxic environment anymore.
What do you mean by personal reasons?
Of course.
had been a victim of that. 🙋🏻♀️
