San Diego in a heartbeat. It’s the best overall city in America

In San Diego I had a homeless guy hit a bowl in front of me and didn’t acknowledge me.
In Seattle a homeless women who I thought was on crack was badgering and following me and walking in traffic

San Diego no doubt. Amazing weather, great people, manageable city with affordable places to live.
I never lived in SD, but I lived in Seattle for eight years. It's good if you like living in a blue bubble (with all the problems that come with that, like many homeless people and an elected communist on the city council) (and all the benefits, like never having to clutch your pearls) and if you don't mind not getting vitamin D for 9 months a year.
The outdoor lifestyle folks love it there. My brother does. He's very outdoorsy, always hiking or camping or skiing. But he lives in Bellingham.
Seattle has the highest rate of suicide in the US, last I checked. If you struggle with feeling lonely, or seasonal depression, I'd avoid it. The culture can be very closed off - the "Seattle freeze" is real. But there are people who find their groups, and love it. I never quite did in Seattle.

They’re pretty different cities. A lot of people love San Diego but I actually strongly dislike it. Could you spend a month in an Airbnb there? I was expecting to like it a lot and just...did not.
Any specific reasons why ?Which area were you in . I went downtown and hated it but liked north county San Diego
Seattle.

Seattle, easily.
It’s not a multiple choice Q folks- I think OP wants a pros/cons kinda conversation lol
Lol true that, not your fault I guess 😅 Maybe he did mean it as a MCQ 😂

Seattle weather makes me depressed. Go spend a week there in fall and/or winter then decide for yourself. They average roughly 150 sunny days a year, which is miserable imo
Chief
No it’s not lol. Chicago averages 190 or so

North county San Diego is pretty ideal. It’s expensive but really really nice here
San Diego, hands down, unless you’re okay with rain and overcast most of the year.
