Long shot here - my husband (asian) and I (white) are considering having our kids abroad. Is there still discrimination against Asian kids in our education system? I’ve read it’s harder to get into schools in the US as an Asian kid because they group them altogether. Is that still true today? Would it help if we hyphenated the kids name?

Well...I've finally made it in my marriage when we are reading each other's minds.

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

My wife is incredibly stressed out and unhappy in her career. It’s been affecting our marriage significantly. I just had a conversation with her where I asked her to stay home and I said I’ll fully support her. It seems like she took it well.

Anyone from Embark able to tell me about some benefits you have. Like how long is Paternity leave and do you have to be with the firm for a year to use it? Also what health insurance do you have? I saw that Embark fully pays premiums but if it’s a junk insurance company then that’s not so great haha.

Help!! My bestfriend is doing two months abroad and was trying to fly into turkey when they told her she couldn't because her passport expired within three months.

She went to the US Embassay in Athens knowing she had a month left of traveling, and gave her an emergency passport and punched holes in her exsisting one. Now no country will let her in with her emergency passport.

Can her mom get her a passport in the US and ship it to her? Is there anyway around this?

During the pandemic I dove into my self care (found a therapist, learned I was having seizures and got on meds for that). My journey has been difficult and not pretty to watch. Somewhere along the line I feel like my fiancé saw too much. I no longer feel like romantic parters and instead feel like we have a “caretaker/patient” type relationship. At what point does it not make sense to buy/ build a bigger home? My husband dislikes our house immensely (was his with former wife) and wants to move.
