During my interview process I clearly stated my salary expectations of 95k-105k. They came back with an offer at 80k. Is it even possible for us to come closer to a better agreement with them being so low? All other aspects of the job are in line with what I'm looking for, so I really want to make this work.

When you apply for any opportunity, how well versed should you be with all the things mentioned in a JD, like certification, experience, some tools and technology, coding language. Do you see a 100% fit before you apply or go for the opportunity if you see the responsibilities meeting your expectation and know only like 60% of the expected or desired skills.

For those that transferred internally from Audit —-> TAS, how did you talk to your partner about making the move? Just talked to mine and he seemed pretty upset. Need advice & perspectives: I got a verbal review from my manager saying he couldn’t see me as senior cuz I didn’t follow the design doc format he mandates from all designers. While I have been the only designer who does almost everything from design, UI asset creation, wiring up UI in Unity (I am in mobile gaming).
Also the product I’m on has been in MVP stage, things move extremely fast and design decisions changed constantly. He’s not on my team.

I want to know why recruiters ask me in an interview if I am looking at other opportunities, or if I am interviewing at other companies. If I say yes they will ask at what stage I am.

I just want to know the reason behind it and if there is a right answer to this question!

I posted this somewhere else before I remembered that I am in this bowl :) so, I changed jobs 6-7 months ago and I am realizing it is not a good fit. Leadership seem to not want to hear the truth so people tell them what they want to hear and if you don’t middle management gets pissed at you. I am seriously thinking about looking somewhere else. I had a phone screening with a recruiter (who is a TD Industries employee- not outside recruiter) I asked specifically when they were looking to hire on, he said a month give or take a few weeks. That was on September 9th. I sent a thank you followup email the next day with letters of recommendation like I had mentioned in our conversation. I sent a second follow up email asking if they had made any decisions on who will be asked for inperson interviews, he said....check comments plz 🙏

Is it possible to be a “silent” investor (party A) with a friend who’s an accredited investor (party B)investing in a company? So if B is investing $50k in a company, and A wants to give B $25k of that investment, is this possible with an agreement between A and B, where they’re responsible for their own portion of taxes?

Let’s say you have two young, high income partners in a couple who want to buy a house together but don’t really care to get married. They already live together in an apartment but both want to move to a house to build equity and have a yard, not share walls, etc. Should one partner buy the house and the other pays rent until they get married, or should they get a mortgage together without being married? I realize there isn’t a “right” answer but I’m interested in people’s experiences here.

Working on a deal where buyer's side keeps on insisting on a POA to effectuate all actions of Seller under the agreement, including executing documents. I keep striking this and commenting that this is not standard. Has anyone dealt with this? I am okay with a limited POA based on the industry of the Seller, but not this general POA.

Deloitte fish: I’m an alum trying to do some retirement planning. I was an SM2 vested in the pension plan (I worked in DTTL for 7 years ending 2013) and want to find out what my actual benefits will be and at what age.
