I took some courses but l'll be honest it is a bit difficult given these layoffs to find a role
Graphic Designers can easily transition to Ul designers. Try to find courses which give you real clients, this way you've a strong portfolio and real user data + design.
I think career Foundry has real clients.
Also check bootcamps and discord groups for hackathons
Thank you! Looking into some now
Following because I'm in the exact same position lol
Same here!
Graphic design is not so tough to shift to Visual Design but you need portfolio and case study that demonstrates a wide variety of work and specifically websites/mobile apps.
Visual Designer is gonna be your most natural transition. Most UI roles these days are mix of design and front-end dev, so if you’re not strong in JS, CSS, HTML and prototyping, its gonna be tough.
Nobody really cares what bootcamp or classes you took to be honest. Your portfolio of work is much more important.
yep. all about portfolio. build it and be who ever the hell you want in this life
