Honestly Audit and BEC are the easier ones for most. You take FAR yet? That’s the killer for most
AUD and FAR were definitely the harder ones for me, took twice on both to pass but the other two were easier for me. Also, if you are audit track vs tax track I think that plays a huge role into whether AUD or REG is going to be more challenging
I don’t believe it is 1000x harder
No it’s not. CFA II is definitely harder I took both. It also depends on your background knowledge. I can see level II CFA might be easier for you because you have finance background. But for CPA I’ve seen people with zero accounting background (different majors in college) pass cpa exams with high scores. You just need to study hard.
Maybe you just aren’t cut out for audit. Not to mention the passing rates for the level 2 and 3 are conditional whereas passing rates for any CPA exam is not
As an accountant, I think finance is kinda hard for me. I like accounting a lot though.
It's marketing. CFA losing people to software engineering.
Also, if you're genuinely a charterholder, you're something really special if you think AUD is harder than any level of CFA.
Really? I took CFA first and stopped after Level I because I was working in Taxation and needed the CPA instead. I think you are right because the CFA was pretty structured (Level I) and you knew how many questions you'd get on each subject. AUD test is tough, still can't understand why. I did it, finished one hour earlier, thought it was easy and got 80. That means I did not do that well. A couple of mistakes and I maybe needed to retake. Idk.

Skip both imo
Right. No one cares.
The CPA exams are incredibly easy so it’s hard to believe that the CFA is easier
Gotta a genius over here.
That’s cool to know. I am a CPA but never had to deal with the CFA. Most people I know say the CFA is harder though
Depends on interest level too, could be more dry info. Just depends.
Took both, passed both, CFA is so much harder. AUD is just memorizing and understanding how to check work. Simple stuff especially if you use a service like Becker to voice it over
Trying to compete with the ivy leaguers and mbas with my big10 undergrad degree haha
I got a 98 on AUD 😃
I’ve completed both CPA and 2/3 of CFA. My undergraduate studies were in Accounting & Finance. The CPA is easier than CFA, and is designed for you to pass quickly. Each CFA exam has a minimum of 5-7 textbooks to go through. Additionally, the inherent topics of the CFA are more complex. Granted, the topics do not go into extreme levels of detail. But generally speaking, CFA curriculum is harder than CPA.
