I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

Don’t wait for any company, do you always. If the boss doesn’t have that promise in writing I would keep interviewing as if I’m still looking for my first offer.
Oh my gosh, how frustrating is that going through the whole interview process and then being told they're in a hiring freeze?!? I'm so sorry. I do know that just a few weeks ago they announced that they were going to slow down their payroll because of the huge dip in the stock market and so maybe January is when they predict things will stabilize. To protect your own interests, I would keep your options open (and maybe interview with other companies on the sly) until they tell you when you can start work. Good luck :)
Well this is concerning im in the middle of negotiating with them, but ill be client facing. I wonder if its firm wide? Hopefully not.
No they said it was their department!
Yes, most likely. But it may extend if things won't go as planned. You should keep applying just to be sure. Best of luck!
I’m happy for you that you potentially have a job at MS but I would apply elsewhere as nothing is guaranteed.
Definitely keep interviewing and take another job in the meantime. A senior person on my team took an internal transfer, but resigned from his new role to take a tech offer after less than a month. Sometimes you get an offer you can't refuse but until then, you still need to oay the bills.
That sucks. We're in a hiring freeze firmwide until Oct 1. Was announced yesterday.
Seriously say the firms name
Even with a company wide hiring freeze there will still be exceptions by department and for individual roles when the hiring manager can make a case for it.
It’s in your interest to know if your role is going through the exception approval path or the “wait and let’s see” path so you have more information to take your next step.
Oh gosh! Too bad. Was this freeze for a certain group or firm wide? I’m going through the interview process myself right now and wonder I’ve to face same fate.
Wealth Management is hiring, just got an offer yesterday.
I just got an offer from Morgan Stanley last week lol?
I just did, thank you!
No one knows when the situation is gonna get back to normal. I'd feel bad just the same. Question is are you willing to wait for it?
I do already have a great job and I’m more than willing to take it once it’s available!
They call me offering $150k for a VP role. How much is the range in Tampa for JPMORGAN.?
going through the onboarding process right now for pre-hire
