Parents - what do you wish you had done / done more before you had kids?

Do you ever feel like you’re just never going to experience real love or be that ‘special someone’ for somebody? I sometimes feel like I am defective in some way, because despite being in my early 30s, I have never felt particularly special to any guy I have been with- it’s always felt like I am the space filler until they meet the right person

My bf took a guys trip to Caribbean to celebrate a good friend of 20+ year’s milestone bday. The friend’s bday is the day before mine. Normally bf and I trip for my bday over the holiday weekend. Bf will be back for my actual bday, and we’re taking a domestic trip next weekend. That said, I still feel a little miffed that we’re not spending this weekend together like normal. Are my feelings unreasonable?

I’m 25/F, recently came out to my mother as gay and she was not receptive. I decided to send a message to my father and sisters to tell them next, and got crickets. I have a wonderful girlfriend and was so excited to share it with them, and it hurts to not have their support. I feel lucky that I have wonderful friends who do support me though. Anyone have any advice for how I’m feeling now? 🥺♥️ At the very least, I’m proud of myself for coming out and being me. Just lonelier than I imagined.

I keep having sex with my ex and want to get back together (this is a recent thought & he doesn’t know) but we live on opposite coasts now. We broke up in 2016 yet we manage to hook up pretty much every other time we see each other. It always starts w an innocent hangout but he still does boyfriend duties and we end up hooking up.
