I work remotely full-time, and I just got more RSUs, bonuses, and a raise. Go figure.
Were you IPG?
Know that it was specifically phrased that way on purpose. Any date after January 6th is free game.
Omnicom staffed up on remote during COVID. Once quarantine was over Tsar Wren suddenly demanded everyone who was remote to RTO.
If you didn’t already live near an office or agree to move to a new town near an office at your own expense, you were canned.
This is the “culture.”

Yeah well that "sucks."
Where did you hear this? Was it word of mouth or something more official.
We’ve not heard a peep about anything. Total radio silence.
The team I’m on (about 50 people) are all over the U.S.
Very few of us would end up being in the same office and some can’t seem to confirm if there is an office near them.
Same. This.
They’re removing remote work, those who refused to RTO fully will be made redundant. Tock tick.
Outside of the corporate functions that have been told 5 days a week, I don’t think agency by agency they know yet. If you are near and allocated to a hub office you are supposed to go 3 days a week once we get back. No direction for those classified as remote employees yet, whether we are near an OMC/IPG office or not. Think the J6 fear mongering on here and Reddit will be more centralizing and getting rid of duplicative corporate functions if true.
And also all the layoffs in Europe/around the world that have yet to happen.
No idea, but considering they are making me go 5 days a week starting Jan 5th, I think they will at least give remote employee some time to decide if they want to move near an office
Yikes. What agency?!
@ Senior Copywriter - who is “we”? Omnicom Productions (former IPG) hasn’t been told anything about RTO yet.
Confirming, also legacy IPG and we’ve heard nothing about RTO…yet.
My guess is OP is referring to corporate employees, specifically IT, that have a 5 day a week in-office mandate starting on 1/5. I saw that on Reddit in the advertising sub in the last few weeks.
If you’re in OmniPro I believe you have two options in terms of offices, satellites in Long Island or Jersey City. When I worked at Omnicom previously that’s where my production team was, take this with a grain of salt since I’m sure they’ll be reallocating buildings, etc.
