My husband and I both had it in May (double vaxxed and boosted). It took a few weeks for the majority of the symptoms to pass, but we both still feel more tired than usual.
Hope you feel better soon, OP!
Just so you know, you are entitled to 2 weeks off if you get Covid. Your employer can go f themselves. I got Covid a few weeks ago and took full 2 weeks for symptoms to get better.

For omicron? And months after getting it?
My understanding is that after 6 months it loses its effectiveness. And that's for the variant it was made to combat.

Iām just getting over it now. Got it two weeks ago. Had absolutely zero energy. Crazy head cold. And then like a solid week and a half of feeling hungover. Not in pain or like I was going to barf, but that super foggy feeling.
I only took a day off, officially, but was able to keep my head down and not do much. Actually working, in front of a client or with other people, would have been rough.

My team was receptive thankfully. I would have been annoyed, as you are, if they werenāt.
Covid doesnāt just come and go, so an opportunity to rest and take care of yourself is important and isnāt asking much. Sorry theyāre being dicks.
I had the flu in May and covid in July. I'll take the flu any day over this. I'm still unable to walk or stand for more than five minutes at a time. Dealing with nerve pain that hovers around a 5/10 then spikes to 7-9 or so (where child birth is a 10/10). I also developed alcohol intolerance as a result. Sometimes, I feel so exhausted randomly that I lay down and sleep for three or four hours during the day.
I was (am?) an athlete. Now I'm hobbling around the house like an old lady, unable to play with my son.
Also if anyone cares. My goal is to be able to walk for long enough that I can take my son shopping for school supplies.

What do you want us to do?
And why do you feel threatened?
People get sick. People get better. People move on.

Customer Success Manager 1 - thank you for your concern, but all my relationships are just fine :)

People love to bully you about COVID. COVID hits every single person differently.
Yeah... It is like a flu... In the initial symptoms.
And for some people, it stays a flu.
And for others: they die.
I am so happy for the people who only "got a flu"... And for a million people, their SO is just gone. They dropped them off at the door to the ER and went to park the car and they weren't allowed in. The last thing they said was "I'll go park, see you soon. I love you." š«„ Gone. š¤

Itās like the flu. You get sick and you stay in bed and then you get better. We have to get over the hysteria.
Not everyone gets better, and 20 to 50% experience long Covid. Please stick to law and not public health or medicine, A1.

Hope you feel better soon! Donāt work, take PTO. Rest ā¤ļø and donāt hesitate to go to the doctor please. Not to scare you OP, but a friend (30) had covid, coughed up a little blood and refused to go to the doctor, went to sleep and never woke up. Please go to the doctor if at anytime you question it. Just go!

Take all the time you can.
Rest.

If it keeps getting worse you should call your doctor and get paxlovid. Be careful it affects everyone differently

I got it on 7/27 needed antibiotics for a secondary infection and steroids for my sinuses, I am still recovering.
I think if I wasnāt boosted; I would have been hospitalized.
My daughterās fever climbed to 105.6
This š¤¬ isnāt easy and it isnāt over.
Go to the doctor see if they can give you the new antiviral treatment and have them give care documentation that puts you on rest
Try NAC
I hope you get better soon! Take care of yourself!

Hope you feel better soon!
Mine was a pretty bad flu (nausea/fever). Was out about week. Younger brother was only sick a few days with very minor cold symptoms.
The stupid thing is that I had the exact same symptoms 7mo prior with a non-covid virus. š Everyone reacts differently-- hopefully yours clears up quickly!
How can your office tell you itās just a cold when you have a positive test for covid?
They have to give you time off. At least in NY they do

Yea that seems ridiculous to me that they would say that to OP
Covid knocks you out. I legit had never been sicker

It really depends on the person. When I had it, it was like a very mild cold. I only got tested because my husband tested positive. When I got the flu a while later, I literally puked for about 16 hours straight. So it could be like a cold or could be much worse. How bad are your symptoms?
