Interviewing for a director role Walmart. I’m quite happy in my existing role, but the Walmart opportunity is significantly more pay.
My interviewer was “real” with me about what Walmart is like internally, stating a few complaints that the behemoth is slow moving and work spans an unthinkable amount of teams.
I don’t even know if I’ll receive an offer yet but just thinking ahead. Does anyone have insight into the WLB here? That + the salary would make it worth it for me. Otherwise, idk. 😵💫

PwC could not retain the Booz name after the acquisition because of the earlier agreement between Booz and BAH
Existing PwC clients are not going to accept paying higher S& rates. They view S& as part of PwC and expect to pay the same rates. Plain and simple.
Assume 30/50% more than similar role in advisory
Defeats the point of buying a brand name company like Booz only to change the name to something ridiculous. Look what EY did with Parthenon. It's still called that. That's half the point of buying that name... Anyways - I digress, plus I'm probably not as smart as the partners who came up with this brilliant idea of s&
It's more complicated than that.
Good question, id like to know this as well
And people wonder why S& is struggling, I assume this reflects in the billing rates as well compared to P advisory?
Yup. Part of the struggle comes from audit conflicts. Many strong relationships got screwed by conflicts. It takes time to re build
Yeah, probably is.
Yup federal practice still called BAH.
It was written in their agreement that the Booz name would have to be gone after another merger / acquisition. Yes, it's difficult selling work, but that's not entirely because of rates. The economy kind of sucks right now and is increasingly difficult to sell work.
