Salam. 23M here - all my life I’ve had my back on our faith - never really prayed but had imaan (I guess). After bouts of depression from girl problems (🙄), issues within immediate family, being disappointed expectations I had for myself, etc. I’ve been working on bettering my situation over the years. I’ve been dating a guy who’s in the process of separating from his husband. I’ve always been a big saver minimum 15% to maxing out my 401k since I graduated college. I’m married to someone who thinks 6% is enough and likes $$$ cars. Other than the cars, they dont really spend money. For the married 🐠, how do you have the conversation with them that what they are doing isn’t enough? I try to guide them and say you want the $$$ cars but the salary you have won’t get there and you’re going to have to find a job that gets them the salary…. Then the fight starts.

I just came home sobbing because I got too drunk at my female best friends house and her husbands male friend tried to take advantage of me when we were left alone in a hot tub. My boyfriend didn’t ask if I was okay but instead screamed at me, threw things and left the house. Dumping him is the only logical answer?? Am I crazy?

I felt like a walking zombie during thanksgiving, barely eating and barely talking. My family is small and I told them ahead of time my relationship ended. I focused on my niece and nephews, cried when I wanted to and slept from 8pm-noon for the last 5 days. Showered once or twice. That’s the best I could do and that’s OK right now. I’m back in my apartment, just trying to take it one day at a time, and not re read his texts too much. My birthday is Thursday 🙄

Does anyone have experience breaking up w a therapist? I've been seeing my therapist for 5+ years for eating disorder treatment and we've been through so much together, but I don't think she's able to help me anymore. While I've stopped my ED behaviors, they've evolved into OCD, and I'm finding that her methods might be making it worse. I think I want to try an OCD expert instead. But I don't know how to end the relationship. Do I just stop going? Do I explain myself? I don't know what to do 🥺

We recently sleep trained our 7 month son. He went from waking up multiple times during night and taking only 30 minute naps 3 times during day (most cases nursed to sleep or rocked to sleep or took a drive) to sleeping 12 hours at night without interruption and two 2 hour naps and one 45 minutes nap during day. We both love that he is getting enough sleep and well rested on one hand. On the other hand, we are now wondering if he is sleeping way too much.. contd…
