Buy and study the test bank/practice exam questions

I’ve been doing this type of work for 5 years and passed the test without studying more than a couple a hours

likehelpful

It’s really not that hard? I’m a CIA w/ 8 yoe. Just read the material and rip the qs is all?

funny

I bought the book and read all of chapter 5 because I was also the most unfamiliar with that section. I also bought the databank of questions and went through them all once then reviewed all my wrong answers . If there were areas in certain chapters I got a lot wrong on, I’d read just that little section. Then I did all the questions again. Learning how the questions are asked and recognizing the answers they’re looking for is the hardest part. They recommend being around 70-80% correct for the practice questions before you’re ready to take the test. I’d say I probably studied at least 40 hours, probably more, but failure also wasn’t an option for me so I went a little overboard.

The best way to learn the material for the CISA exam is to start with the official Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Study Guide, published by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA). This guide provides an overview of all five domains of the exam, and also includes sample questions and study tips. Additionally, you can find practice exams online to help you test your knowledge and identify key areas of focus. Finally, consider taking an online or in-person CISA preparation course to ensure you are fully prepared for the exam.

This guide contains an overview of the CISA program and the topics covered in the exam. Additionally, you can find study resources such as practice exams and additional reading material online. Lastly, you can consider enrolling in a CISA prep course or working with a CISA-certified mentor to help you better understand the material.

I waited a couple years and got some experience bc you need it anyway to get certified. That helped. But I took it like 20hrs ago so I’m sure very different. 😂

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. Is this normal in the entertainment world? Any suggestions?
