Taking the pacific highway trip soon. Staring at SFO and ending in SD. I will have 3 days and 2 nights. What are the best stops and where to stay for 2 nights?

You could definitely spend more time doing this. However, I would recommend Half Moon Bay, Monterey, Big Sur, Hearst Castle, San Luis Obispo, Santa Cruz, Santa Barbara, Malibu, Venice Beach, Laguna Beach, La Jolla, SD.

I would do the first night at Lucia lodge and the second night in Santa Barbara or Malibu. Normally I would do my second night in Solvang but since you are going all the way to SD, the third day drive might be too long if you stay in Solvang.

Hello people of San Diego! Would love to hear how y’all are affording to live here comfortably. Please state your company, position, TC, YOE, and do you have a side hustle? I’ll start - I’m an advisor in Wealth Management with TC of $70k, 3 YOE and no side hustle. Among other things, rent just jumped from $2500 to $3700 for 2 bedroom and areas were looking at. I’d like to “make it” here but if it means switching career to make money I’d like to get an idea to make the right job change.

New fish looking for career guidance.

I'm a corporate recruiter with 3 years of experience. Finishing my degree in HRM 5/2022. I'm thinking of getting my SHRM -CP shortly after graduation.

I'm not sure of where to go after that, but I doubt I will stick with recruiting or my current firm.

Has anyone here started off in recruiting and branched out to other HR functions? Do you like your new role? Do you wish you stuck with recruiting?

The years of experience are the same, but you have 3 designations (they have 0), you have 3 licenses (they have just 2), they have little to no experience with technical complex claims (you have hundreds), and you have 3 years in management (they have 0).
