Tax season was an absolute nightmare this year. The long hours, the endless spreadsheets, the soul-crushing monotony of it all... I'm starting to think this accounting gig isn't for me. I've been daydreaming about getting my MBA and making a career switch to consulting. I know it's a big investment, but I'm wondering if it's the change I need to feel excited about work again. Has anyone else here transitioned from accounting to consulting with an MBA? Was it worth it? Did you find the work more fulfilling? Curious about your experiences and any advice you might have.

Is C1 level at Capgemini equivalent to Manager grade?

I studied finance in undergrad and had a couple of internal audit internships. I only started a few month ago but I never saw myself doing IT Audit and I don’t like it thus far! Would I need to get a CPA in order to move into audit or something more finance/accounting oriented like FDD, Valuation, etc.? (Still need to get to 150, thinking of doing an online MAcc)

I have recently received an offer from HSBC for Data Engineer profile. The designation offered is Senior Analyst- Information Management. They said that it is a techno functional role. Does anyone have an idea about what techno functional role actually is in HSBC? Is it more like a Business Analyst? My prior experience is completely in Technical side. I am trying to avoid wasting all of our time if i get to the last interview and they are expecting a salary that is too low for me.
