Applying to LEK from Michigan. Considering Chicago and NYC offices. How much more competitive is the NYC office? If I rank NYC over Chicago, am I ruining my change with Chicago?
Feeling blah. Got an offer and turned it down (I wouldn’t have taken), and told this other company that I got an offer, which resulted in the recruiter speeding up my 2nd interview. After the interview, they said that they’d need another interview and to speak to my refs before going forward, and that if I have an offer, they don’t want me to hold me back from taking it. Mind’s kind of in a jumble after this long process. Thoughts from my fellow fish?
Not a normal confession but I'm so mad FOR our local IT department. GroupM/WPP decided to reorg them under IBM so they all had to be re- interviewed for their same exact job and were then informed ...

I’ve just started my career 2 years back and I really want to have an international exposure. I don’t want to change my career path and stick to consulting. The only options I have is: 1. Go for MS - which is a big investment 2. Start applying to other countries for job. But I’m not sure on which countries have opportunities since my overall experience is just 2 years. Would love to hear your suggestions.

I expecting to receive an offer letter this afternoon and to walkthrough it with the hiring managers. I will also have a phone call with HR later this week for any additional questions. I gave my expected salary range (pretty wide and aggressive) during the interview process but haven’t talked specifics. I assume negotiations happen with HR instead of the hiring manager? Anyone have any insight? Thank you so much. First time interviewing outside of college

I'm really good at my job, a high performer and have visibility with partners. However, I hate it. I wake up in the mornings feeling angry and resentful. I'm not able to exercise creativity as I'd like to, and feel I'd be happier in a completely different field. I'm scared to leave behind the reputation I've built. Big 4, it's safe/comfortable/addictive and Im addicted to being on cruise control. Anyone else been through the same?
Anyone familiar with strategy & analytics at REITs? Recruiter reached about a manager role for ~150k base + 30% bonus, but wondering about the long term career prospects. Any insights appreciated!
The hard part about finding great AEs / VP of Sales is that the smart & resourceful ones are not looking for work, because they’re successful at their current role. That being said - if anyone is looking for an exciting new opportunity with no glass ceiling / cap on earnings, you should email us at email@example.com
Anyone else think companies have convinced us salary is a taboo topic only to help the top get away with unequal pay. base salary should be standardized and bonuses depend on performance (chargeable hours, project reviews, hours charged to internal codes).
