One thing to look out for is dirty looks from people who see you driving a giant maga hat
I’m honestly asking, OP… do you really want to signal your support of Tr*mp with your car purchase?
Why are you getting a 5k tax refund?

I bought a used 2023 model 3 a couple months ago. Definitely try to buy through Tesla, the process is super easy and they give you an extra year and 10k miles on the warranty. Makes it very attractive.
Purchasing was very straightforward, get the terms, sign the deal, pickup at designated time.
Only hidden costs are a) new tires could be needed and those can be on the pricy side b) charging cables, installs, adapters, etc can get to there too. I bought the mobile connector and CCS adapter and that’s already run me ~400. I definitely didn’t need the adapter but too late now

Helpful, thanks
I love my Tesla! But two things:
Insurance is crazy on these things, at least for me - I’m in NY.
Repairs for these things are through the roof. That’s also probably why the insurance is so expensive lol

Yea I got a quote for a similar VIN and it’s not crazy for me. And the repairs piece is concerning for sure, but hopefully my efund can manage. Thinking of buying from Tesla to get an extra year of bumper-to-bumper warranty
Depending on where you live, your monthly car insurance premiums may increase significantly with a Tesla
Have you driven one before? I’ve rented them and am always startled by some of the meh software, annoyed by the touchscreen vs buttons, and the road noise is way more than it should be.
Think you need to check twice IRT tax incentive, make sure meet all the criteria
