Question: I’ve been friends with this person for 7 years. I’m pretty controversial in my views and when it gets too wild she just tells me to STFU and I do. Well, tonight she was pissing me off and I told her to STFU for the first time ever and she didn’t. How do you care less? I know this sounds like a strange question but I feel like I try too hard and I end up getting burned out or feel resentment. It also isn’t getting me anywhere lol. What aspect of your life are you struggling with right now?

This is a little random but I’ve gotten some peace from this community and I wonder if others share the same struggle. Does anyone else take care of mentally ill parents? I have one at home and some days are harder than others. I struggle to maintain confidence when all I’m hearing is terrible things about myself from someone who isn’t in their right mind. Don’t get me wrong, I’m an adult woman who is proud of my accomplishments, but some days are just hard to shake. Any advice?
