At this point if you aren’t vaccinated it’s your fault. We can’t just keep cancelling things for a virus that is free to get vaccinated from.
Yes I completely with you man on this. But allowing unvaccinated folks, thats not right! Also, being from India I first hand know the havoc delta variant can have even on children less than 12 who are not eligible for vaccine. So being little cautious till we achieve 70% vaccination wont hurt.
Sorry, but the problem is that you're uninformed, not that "no one is questioning" having Lollapalooza. It has been in the news for days. If you don't believe me, then a quick google search will turn up tons of stories.
Hey OP, I’m a little bit lazy to do the research but will you be able to provide an example of an event happening in a red state recently that had the media agencies and people making a lot of noise?
@K1, Just pointing out that you examples you gave are from last year when COVID was raging and there were no vaccines. IL is at 48.2% fully vaccinated which though far from ideal cannot be compared to what happened last year. Please provide relevant examples.

What… Rolling Loud is going on in Miami.
Just to mention, I do not believe in worshiping/following any one party or group. Rather I believe in going with the one which feels right and that can be any group. We all are critical thinkers. Polarisation creates a divide which is never good for the society in general. The best we can do is be neutral. Think about so many folks who do not want to take a vaccine thinking its a democratic sham, thats crazy. This is what polarisation does..
At this point if a city has taken it seriously along with high vaccination numbers, which is Chicago, then they will get a pass as they should. We’ve done what we’ve needed to do. If a state has low vaccination numbers and never took anything seriously then there is deserved criticism.
There is buzz against lolla
I have seen a couple of news stories asiing the question.
And to be honest, I think its worth asking, but I wondering how much damage can a delta variant do in a highly vaccinated state like Illinois.
I dont know what the answer is, but there are people asking at least.
Also let me remind you that Illinois is doong very well case wise right now.

IL is red. Only the city is blue.
