It's almost as if the person making these decisions watches way too much TV. The way things are shaping up Flo from Progressive and the Sham Wow dude will be running big chunks of the federal government. What a time to be alive.
It definitely feels like we are living in an Onion article.
Yet another disaster in the making.
All the voters who skipped the President column or voted Orange, are soon going to be Gold Members in the FAFO club.
Rising Star
Seems like he isn't qualified. I think that's the nicest thing I can say.
Michael Roizen MD of Cleveland Clinic Ohio:
Worked with Dr Oz for more than 20 hours a week; fastest learner, brilliant, and doesn't waste time …
The NY Times, Wall Street Journal and Wash Post in addition to many national other media outlets did stories projecting how “Celebrity Dr Oz” would function as CMS director. I worked with him 20 hours a week for more than 10 years as we wrote 14 books and over 6000 short columns together to inform and motivate healthier behavior. The columns—they are syndicated to well over 60 newspapers now—will have to be written by me alone after he is confirmed.
Yet not one reporter called me to learn more about his intellectual style. They didn’t call other people who worked closely with him either per my conversations with those who worked with him in the OR, or on his TV shows. Only a morning drive reporter-Mike Opelka- from Ft Myers who I’ve done a weekly segment “Wellness Wednesdays “ asked. The mainstream media must be really hollowed out to have so few people who really do background work before they write stories.
So let me summarize—he is innovative, the quickest learner, most perceptive, and incredibly diligent individual who cares deeply about helping Americans (and everyone everywhere) become as healthy as they can be. (talk about innovative—the device now Senator Fetterman has in him and had in him when her ran for Senate against Dr Oz was partially invented by the same Mehmet Oz). He works harder and demands more of his staff—yes both in his medical career as a vice chair of surgery, and as the CEO of his well over 100 person TV program company, and even of me—and demands scientifically rigor.
Yes, many companies and people tried to take advantage of him on the show saying he endorsed X Y or Z—but he didn’t; he had them many on for ratings, and was careful to not endorse. He literally had to sue one company a day for misrepresenting what he said as they popped up on the web. He also cares deeply about family and is truly funny. We started working together on the YOU books to let readers know how the body works, and that they could control their risks to the point now known as “Making America Healthy Again” by incenting choices that are healthy. Yes, that’s my mission too, and as you can tell I am a fan, and truly envious of his ability to capture concepts and manage a large staff so efficiently and so well.
I do not know if he can do well running Medicare, Medicaid and the Exchange. But I know of no one who will put more effort and have more chance of succeeding at what the Global Wellness Institute and R. Kennedy have as goals—"Create a World (and an America) free of Preventable Disease”
I hope all who read this blog/column will join me in helping him get toward that goal.

Once you become a reality star you do lose credibility, period.
The real question is …Will he kiss trumps ring? Bc if he doesn’t, he won’t last anyway.
That’s how I feel.
‘While holding a medical license, Mehmet Oz, widely known as Dr. Oz, has long pushed misleading, science-free and unproven alternative therapies such as homeopathy, as well as fad diets, detoxes and cleanses. Some of these things have been potentially harmful, including hydroxychloroquine, which he once touted would be beneficial in the treatment or prevention of COVID. This assertion has been thoroughly debunked.’
