I was put into PIP in my first company. I believed my manager said that it's only for improvement. I signed it. Later realized it's a termination plan. So I quit the company. But after 5 years I got a call from my First company HR for another role, I was happy to take that opportunity. But later HR called me and said they couldn't proceed for some reason. Just got a invited to join a CTF for amateurs mid-Aug. I have zero experience (I do GRC/risk/audits) and would have about 2 weeks to prep - is this enough time to get ready?

Currently work at a PR agency in D.C., but actively trying to move to SoCal, preferably LA or SD. Goal is to do more digital strategy/social media/creative work in house, any one know of anything?

I have 125% offer from ey GDS, yoe 6.8 , now I get to know they are offering more CTC to less exp people for same role in same team.

If I talk to hr about this , is there any chances she will revise my offer ? It is any practice.

Advice needed on handing in notice, I recently signed an offer letter and understand the screening process takes 4-6 weeks. I have a month's notice period and have agreed a preliminary start date in Feb.

I was planning on not handing my notice in until the checks had been completed so its all secured (not that I think I will fail any checks), but apparently I need a reference from my current employer not previous ones. Can't really do this without handing in notice can I?

I came across multiple posts in which the pay is very much less compared to the industry standard ( on seeing their YOE)

But digging a bit deeper, we could see the lack of skill sets, not up to the market trend with latest technologies. Basically not updating ourselves with new stuffs happening around.

Your YOE nowadays doesn't matter much but skills matters. Keep upgrading your skills if you want to stick to the market trends and enjoy the boom.
