We did it and regretted the shit out of it
No/ No No no@no@
It took hours and was so F-ing uncomfortable.
Guys.. read.
Not buying a timeshare.. just using the presentation as way to get cheap deal.
Are you buying it or just planning a one week vacation? If buying then No. I just turned down a timeshare offer for Westin Nanea. It was for 1 week for $81k
It's usually around $800 Sounds okay to me
You can rent it from someone at very cheap price for a one off vacation. If you really want to buy then buy a resale. Downside you can't exchange it for star points. You can only stay at one of their 13 villas
$81k for a week? Lolz. What a horrible horrible idea.
We already covered this! No!
Never do timeshare. Never. I'm an ex bankruptcy attorney.
OP, I wish I could share. They said it was just a random selection they do eventually each Hilton honors member. The presentation was only 1.5 hours and they weren't pushy at all. They understood I traveled a lot for work and that vacationing was pretty much free to me so they said we would rather keep my loyalty than push me away. I just simply declined and they were ok. People tend to get sucked in because they feel guilty they are getting a good deal and not buying anything in return. Just don't lead them on and just tell them if the numbers makes sense for you then you will do otherwise it's not a good time
Not buying for sure..
Just interested in the vacation part. Was hoping to get out of the presentation in max 2 hours and be done with thay part. Online reviews led me to believe so.
@P1 - Share some details? What's to uncomfortable about this?
Only owners can rent at such a price to friends or family. Not sure how would they let you rent but not own it unless you know of a owner willing to rent it to you
It's not a good deal. I just got back from one this week from Hilton grand vacations for 4 days 3 nights for 166$. Only 1000 points but comes with 200$ Hilton voucher
Maintenance fees ?
@A1 - Share more please? Any referral or links?
Did a Hyatt timeshare vacation and brought my whole family at no cost to them. Just prepare ahead of time by googling potential areas where they can trap you and don't give in and sign anything.
I'm a sucker for these. I put a deposit for Hilton Waikoloa beach. Car rental included as well. If my wife isn't around I'm an easy sell.
Now for the actual time share I never buy. I have fun at the presentations, though.
They literally do physically trap you. I sat through one in Vegas for free cirque du Soleil tix
