For the people who went back to school to pursue a totally different career, what did you do for work? I don’t think I’d be able to do both my current job and school. In front of folks who don't understand code, you think you look smart. In front of those who know code - you're an idiot covering your incompetency.

I left my job without having anything else lined up otherwise I would have had a mental breakdown. I’m not even in that great of a financial place, but it was my job or my sanity. I know at least three other people who, in the past few months, have left with nothing lined up. I feel like it’s something we need to be talking more about. This isn’t normal for people to be doing this right?
