Unsure how my manager expects me to get work done on straight exhaustion. We just got a new PM so I’ve picked up the slack, I’m on boarding the new guy, covering for 2 people on PTO and trying to manage 60 projects. The work needs to get done and I’m trying my best. And then he goes we can set up a call Sunday.
I’ve barely left my house all week and was supposed to go camping. Since when are weekends fair game too?

What do you do when you feel the goalpost has been/is being moved re: billable requirements? Like there's a spoken vs unspoken? I chose this job based on billables vs salary and what I'm being told I'm expected to do now is 20-30% (at least) > than what was initially agreed upon. Given my other life responsibilities, this is creating a huge strain & I feel like this is slowly getting harder & harder on my spouse & kids. I'm grateful to have lots of good work but not sure how to course correct.

I recommended a candidate for hire to a manager that reports directly to me. This person is a perfect match, but wanted the manager to obviously recommend. It has to be a fit. The manager just told me my recommendation is not her top pick. I feel frustrated because as much as we talk about the position, I wonder if we are mot aligned on criteria. What do I do?
