Used to be part of the interview process when we hired a new person to work with me and now I’m not….why do you think that is? Should I be concerned?

For fairness, they often want to use a range of interviewers. Everyone has unconscious biases, judgement. If they got the same people to do all the interviews, you’d by nature have a more skewed set of new hires. Unless something actually went wrong, I don’t think you need to worry

You should be extremely concerned because, in all likelihood, this is entirely on you.

…or maybe it’s simply happenstance. 🤷‍♂️

A quick note about what I’ve experienced, in my decade long career, is the real advantage of MBB or FAANG - it gives you a shot at stretch roles that are outside your expertise.
