I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

Ramen at Momufuku and might as well hit up Milk Bar for a piece of crack pie.
Pepperoni square at Prince St Pizza, Los Tacos No 1, Xian Famous Foods, Peter Luger burger, Atla, Ugly Baby, Arrogant Swine
Staten Island
OP, which day, what time of day is your interview, are you staying a night?
Don't run around town to eat, there are FAR TOO MANY amazing restaurants in this town! Go do something for the soul in this great city! Take the Staten island ferry back and forth and see lady liberty on the way and the downtown skyscraper views, go to the metropolitan museum for a few hours and pay like $5 to get in, admission amount is voluntary, don't pay the suggested price, walk in central park and people watch, it's beautiful, walk across Brooklyn bridge and see the view of Manhattan from the other side. Get a ticket now to the Freedom tower / world trade center 1 and go to the top to check out the incredible view, line goes quickly...
Times Square baby!
It’ll be my first time having Shake Shack! 😂
Bring some bagels with you on the way home
Times square of course
Then you can get Shake Shack!! 😍
A slice of pizza at joe's in Greenwich village. A brooklyn egg cream at a diner. I would also stop by koreatown and do some Christmas shopping at face shop etc.
Momufuku for Ramen is straight up bad advice. Go to the East Village, yelp “ramen” and go to literally any other place that comes up.
Well theres tons of good ramen in NY but Momufuku has those tasty pork buns and Milk bar is close by so you can hit both easily. By all means not claiming its the best in NY.
Feel you on the pork buns. My bad for coming in so hot. Still, not worth the extended wait if you only have 24 hours or so
I always stop on by Russ and Daughters for my chocolate babka, bagel and lox fixes. Waste some hours at the Met, get a damn good dinner and walk around. No fixed plans are sometimes the best plans.
OMG, in the never ending debate about the best burger in NYC, please do not waste your time and money on the shake shack scam:) that fad is over, thank God:) Good luck with the interview! Tell us more specific location in Manhattan for more specific recos. And know you must give yourself a lot of time to get to JFK!!
Hey man! You gotta let people try stuff and form their own opinion 😂😂 i personally like shake shacks burger . Like the ramen its not the BEST burger in NYC but its tasty, cheap, and one of those things to try at least once.
I always recommend a night at Fat Cat if you enjoy drinking, bar games, and/or jazz
If you do arrogant swine you can also visit interboro and the well
Depends where you are staying. If you only have a day, I wouldn't want to suggest something out of the way.
Dirty water hotdog. It’s just what we do
