That sucks - sorry to hear that.
One option might be to check out creative circle. That place a lot of freelance to FTE roles. That’s how I quickly got my new gig when I was in a similar spot last year.
Keep your head up!
I may have to check them out again too. I applied to two positions through Creative Circle and didn't get callbacks on either.
I’ve been looking and applying for a couple months now and nothing
Glad I'm not alone at least....crickets for me as well.
Oh that's so frustrating, I'm really sorry to hear you're going through that, and BDR1 as well. I have also used Creative Circle in the past for roles, and I highly suggest that! Freelance to full time in general can be very useful, and part time should not be overlooked. You can easily leave those jobs without too much pain, if you don't end up full time there. And of course, I find it's helpful for no jobs to be "below" you - as long as they're not in your direct line of work...If you take a very junior version of your position while you're in a bad spot that can have an unfavorable effect later.
So sorry to hear. That happened to me some years ago at this same time. Set your brain to understand there is nothing to do on what it’s left of the year. People are out and many offices close the last week of the year. Set yourself to start the search Jan 4-5 (allow people to settle back, get in the groove. )Don’t forget that kicking off on January could be slow so try to not get frustrated or despair. Remind yourself often. Try to stay positive.
Ouch, it came in a perfect timing. I am sorry to hear that you lost your job in this should be the merriest season of the year. Everything happens for a purpose. Just keep on sending applications because next year almost all companies will be opening their doors to many applicants.
simply find a reliable company to start investments with.. I have recommendations though.
I’ve written about blockflair before. I’ve done good and profitable investments with them for long, I believe they’re still a great choice.
I know it's a tough time to lose a job right now considering it is nearing Christmas. Hope you are okay and I hope the rest of the year and next year hold good news for you. Good luck friend!
I personally think there's a special place in hell for employers who lay off during the holidays.
Hugs friend. I am feeling for you. Praying for some goodness that comes into your life. Success is right in the corner. Hope you do well!
Take the rest of the year off, OP. Most companies are on a hiring freeze this season, but they'll get back to recruiting soon enough. Have you checked the Job Referral bowl yet?
Very sorry to hear this! Please post on the referral bowl as well as it seems quite a few places are still hiring. Reall hope you're able to find something good OP!
So, so sorry to hear that. I'm looking for a new position voluntarily (because I'm unhappy at my current org), and it really is rough. I feel like I've submitted more applications than I've ever submitted in my life.
