Can people working side gigs as consultants receive deferred compensation? Or has anyone seen other creative, legal ways that consultants can work now and get paid later? I have a side gig that could end at any time, and I don’t envision it going into 2022. Good problem to have, but the side gig is bumping me into higher tax brackets this year, while next year, I envision I’ll be back to lower brackets, so I was wondering if there’s a way to delay some of this compensation to next year.

I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. I traditionally was brought up in my career where PM type tasks were handled by lower level AMs. I have observed separating AM and PM tasks into two separate departments just causes communication issues and lazy account people. Account people should have a good understanding of how much effort and time goes into a project. Project Managers are missing a lot of context so blind leading blind.

Hi Everyone. I completed my 1 year in EY in October 2022. And in my profile, they have updated it to Senior Analyst now. But that was a progression that happens every year and I have not received the incremented salary.

Now that they are giving increments to everyone, will I receive both progression and increment or my progression will be counted as increment.

Lyft driver delayed picking me up 30 min, resulting in me canceling my ride and asking hotel to call me a “yellow taxi” to get to the airport because it was 5am and all ubers/lyfts were 15 min. Specifically said yellow. Hotel calls me a private lux SUV and the driver got out of the car to handshake the man who called and said hi (honestly money couldve been passed). I then get hit with a $180 ride. Marriott website says taxi should be $65. Should I complain or let it go?

Going away this weekend. Didn’t tell my boss until they emailed us expecting weekend work. I told them that I can try to work when I can and not sure how bad the WiFi is gonna be. They replied with saying that it’s okay, and that they’ve been working with shitty WiFi while out of town. Idk how to feel about that. Kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I’m not trying to be a jerk.
