I'd say always try to be learning and adapting to whatever comes along. Seek out mentorship, whenever possible. And work on your soft skills, especially communication skills. Always be thinking about teamwork, to be successful you'll need to be good at working with people.
I would say... set boundaries early and often. You can develop a language for this that doesn't sound like "I'm setting a boundary." Instead, just set expectations. If someone asks you to do something that is not your normal job role or will take a long time, let them know upfront "Okay, I will do that but I have to let you know it won't happen for another week because of X Y and Z." OR say, "I'm sorry I really can't take that on right now since my primary role is to do X Y and Z." These kinds of boundary statements will save you a lot of headache down the line
