Is tableau a skill worth adding to your resume?
Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Expect to come into industry on par or below where your industry peers would be in one year
@op I'd be surprised if you got anything higher than associate product manager anywhere. I'm an ex product manager and I had 4 yrs consulting experience before.
Coming below them would mean I wasted one year in consulting and then landed below them.. doesn't sound good
Well if you join after one year in consulting it will look like consulting wasnt for you. So your experience wont mean anything.
Also industry at the lower levels is about doing the work. So someone 1 year of being trained how do do xyz for a company will be better than someone who spent 1 year in consulting.
If you wanna do industry...go do it. Dont waste your time doing something you dont like
Wait until you get the promo. You'll then have more experience and the title to also leverage.
You're an associate looking for a product manager role? I don't think that's possible
Most PM roles require at least 5 years experience. You can definitely make the switch once you're a senior though
Would that change if I switch after promotion to senior associate ?
Im thinking the same thing. On my 2nd yr and up for promo, have some connects at tech companies but dont know whether to stick it out til june or switch now
Me too! Kind of bored though but is it worth switching before the promo
PwC 1, even if I apply after becoming Senior, industry wont give me senior product manager role. They will still give me only product manager. Done my research .. but still tempted to get promoted since I worked for it
You guys at PwC are trying to get promoted only two years out of ugrad? I heard that's very difficult. How go you know it's going to happen?
OP, then get the promo and hang out for a while. you're going for a role that you're not qualified for; get the qualifications and you won't have to question it. If you really think you're qualified make sure it's crazy obvious in your application.
I had three years of experience before joining PwC.. so have four years exp in total
Perhaps. good luck
