This isn’t really a book on advertising per se, but it’s a book that’s great for those in the industry, leading a company, or just wanting to read a business book that isn’t like anything else.
It just launched September 3 by HarperCollins/HarperOne - called Rare Breed, a Guide to Success for the Defiant, Dangerous and Different written by myself and my co-founder.
Endorsed by Seth Godin, Charlamagne tha God, Michael Smith from Bloomberg and renowned culinary chef Daniel Boulud, we started the book with a simple question -
What if you could take the parts of yourself other people criticise…. Traits they call defiant, dangerous, and different… and turn them into your selling points?
At the heart of Rare Breed are seven so-called vices - rebellious, audacious, obsessed, hot-blooded, weird, hypnotic and emotional. Society deems these vices as cautionary tales, counter intuitive to your success. we’re supposed to quiet these traits and make them invisible. But we reframe the vices as virtues, giving a floor to the misfits and anyone whose every stood outside of the pack to finally lean into who you are and succeed on your own terms.
At the very least, hope you guys check it out to learn more and if it interests you, please grab a copy! http://amzn.to/2Lb6FHV
