As an interviewer, don’t ask me any question that makes it sound like you just want to look good rather than a legitimate question in which you want to know the answer so as to gauge your own interest in the role.
I like the questions like, “what’s a typical day like” or “what are some of the folks on your project in this role responsible for”, etc.
Questions that you need the answers to in order to decide whether the role/firm is the right fit for you
I absolutely love any ego check questions that show you have boundaries up front.
"You're trying to hit a deadline but you need last minute support. How do you approach me?"
"I'm on vacation and I don't answer your call. How do you respond?"
"I come to you with constructive feedback about something you did that didn't land well in a meeting. What is your thought process?"
