Hi All! Looking to transition to healthcare consulting, open to both big and small firms. Recent Bio B.A., 1 year of experience with the health department as a mitigation specialist and epi, would really like to focus on consulting and/or policy! Any suggestions/referrals would help, thanks!
If anyone works at Guidehouse, was interested in their Health Strategy and Transformation Consultant position!
How do you handle handoff/transition before going on maternity leave? I will be going on maternity leave in 3 months and need to put together a transition plan so that someone can take care of my work while I am out. I want to make sure nothing falls through the crack but at the same time don’t want to train someone to do 100% of my job - that would make my role redundant if someone can just take over right? Plus the company is going through restructuring now too. How would you handle this?
I am trying to break into healthcare consulting. I don’t like WFH full time so I’m looking to travel. I have my MHA and 3 solid years of healthcare experience (1 administrative consultant, 1 management role, 1 project manager). Any recommendations on consulting firms that are hiring? Expected salary I should ask for? Referrals would be helpful!
Maxed out my 401k contributions for the year at EY. Joining a new firm this year that automatically has the employee contribute a few percent of their paycheck to a 401k. Any suggestions how I should approach so I don’t go over the limit?

In the past I would use Brightscope to search companies 401k ratings. They have since been acquired by ISS and they no longer offer this information publicly. I am interested in seeing details about your company.

(2) 100% match up to 3% of your salary, then 50% match for the next 3%, making a total of 4.5% of your salary

I've been working with Healthcare data recently and it's so weird. Everything is unnecessarily complicated and people who work in Healthcare don't take a step back and explain things. Anyone experienced this too +
Not a student… yet, but hope you can help. I’m in healthcare administration (executive assistant) and want a career change, moving into nursing. It looks like LVN is the fastest path (12-month program at my local community college), then continue education for a BSN while working as an LVN. I’m a single parent of a young child so I’m trying to minimize the time I won’t be able to work full time due to school and also ensure I’ll have a livable wage upon completion. Thank you in advance!
I see meal card option in my flexi benefits page..can someone from LTI guide whats this meal card for of 50 bucks and where can it be used?

Does anyone have some insight into the typical hours and overall WLB within the NYM PwC Deals practice (specifically deal strategy or FDD)? I am considering a move but wanted to get more candid information first!
I'm in desperate need of tips to get genuine buy in from our predominantly white, male senior leadership to create a more inclusive environment. As is often the case, middle management and below is very diverse and then at Director+ it gets much more homogeneous. So far any real initiatives get shot down in favor of performative actions to post on SM. Is this just how it is, or can we try something different?
Has anyone who’s interviewed with Google BizOps struggled with 1 of the 2 case interviews and still made it through to the second round? Gonna be a long seven days to wait for a response.
I just received an offer from Deloitte USDC coming on as a Investigations Senior Consultant @ $110k, $5k signing bonus, 100% remote position (requested) Can Someone explain what benefits are afforded to me? Is the 401k match the same? Recruiter stated 3 weeks and 3 days of PTO…does that mean 18 days or 24 days? Also, can someone clarify the parental leave policy as compared to core? Can these be negotiated? I’ve been a 10 year Special Agent/Federal Agent and Officer with the military. Tx!
I received a job offer and want to quit my current my position. However, I am a manager and my other direct reports just quit and her last day is in June.

I have hit my wall. I cannot do public accounting any longer. I cannot deal with the constant focus on compliance, billable hour and the general unproductive behaviors/mindsets. I remember a day when we were here to help clients. Now I just feel like we are here to bill clients. I want to go help someone build something.

I am looking for any referrals in audit/ advisory firms. I have worked in 3 of the big four audit firms and currently working in Canada in the financial services industry (head office in Boston).

Considering a change from audit (SM) to an advisory role - looking at a Director position within Strategy, Finance and Accounting M&A. [Insert typical “should I make the jump” question here]. I’m 3+ years to audit partner and weighing options and exhausted by omnipresent inspection risk and how this impacts day to day (and presume it will continue to get worse). Considering the advisory role 1) job security, 2) exit ops, 3) partnership ops. Anyone recently make a similar jump and could share?
How much time do you spend after regular working hours on learning and improving technicals? I feel the most challenging part for this job is not just to complete the client work but also endless learning which requires a lot commitments after work hours.
I’m a new senior manager in tax. Just got promoted this year. How do I know that I’m able to get to partner vs the firm seeing me as a sm only? What can I do to differentiate and also how do I prevent being overworked? I’m scared I would say I’m interested in partner, but then the firm seeing me as a workhorse and not promoting me. I feel like I want to spend my first year becoming more tax technical and building up my management skills. Then consider asking my coach about partner potential.
If you were going to be a partner in a national non-big 4 firm, which one would you pick and why?
Any one make a move from fund admin after big 4 assurance and then was able to make a pivot to a PE fund accounting team? I am considering moving to a fund admin now. Have 9+ years of big four experience. Worried that I can get stuck in fund admin. But I have interviewed at several big name pe shops and make a few rounds on interviews but then get the same feedback that they are worried about my lack of operational experience.
What are the good exits for Senior Managers? I keep hearing how people leave for 2x their salary.
