Hoping to get in touch with #Peraton recruiter! I have about 9 months left in Air Force where I work in cyber defense and vulnerability management, have a BA in cybersecurity, sitting for CISSP and have lots of certs. Would love to chat with someone about opportunities. Hold a clearance and could technically start in 7 months. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you.
I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

MBA and technology/security architecture experience, potential legal or compliance experience.
There’s many ways but you need business and technology, with confidence in the law/compliance
Coach
Senior management experience, cissp, master’s/mba
MBA, brown nosing, and politics / networking are the most effective path to CISO
Once upon time there was also the C|CISO too. Remember certs don’t necessarily move you up. It just becomes a validation to a certain scope and depth of something. Have you considered networking? CISO’s have vast networks and relationships with each other. They’re constantly looking for their deputy to groom professionally when they’re out of town
Networking is where i need to focus.
The main headache being so many companies hiring departments will only hire based on a cert held rather than skills and experience eg i don’t hold an audit qualification but have run audits on banks for pci, nist and operating models.
Similarly rightly or wrongly so many people have cissp at a junior level i should probably just swallow pride and do it along with crisc as they should be simple (neuro divergence aside)
I hear GRC is another great feeder. CISM, CISA, CRISC, CISSP with experience in risk management and policy. All the best
It's the compliance cert in GRC
