Rising Star
Lots of reviews. I have someone read through my contracts and documents to make sure I'm not missing something important. I review my construction plans with others to ensure the basic plan is viable. I discuss the schedule with the contractors until all the scenarios we can think of have been discussed. Order all the parts I can foresee needing, then go over the parts list with the maintenance team. Whatever your deliverables are, review them with trusted collogues. And even then, mistakes will happen sometimes.
Time permitting, I like to give a little bit of time until I check over again. Easy for me to get tunnel vision and start missing things I normally wouldn’t. Having a fresh and different pair of eyes to look over is also great if an option. Agree that a mistake will happen at some point no matter what, be flexible enough to address it and fix it.
I also try to take my time and review things as I go - or even hop to a different task and come back to it with a fresh set of eyes. If it’s something I’m unfamiliar/unsure of, I’ll ask a colleague to glance over it or ask any specific questions I’m shaky on. Teamwork is really helpful at my job.
Verified Data. Solid data analysis. Can’t be argued

Lots of other people reviewing what I do and not trying to do everything by myself.
Yep this is what we do as well. Its nice to have so many people double checking me so I don't have to worry about anything falling through the cracks. We are all human and we definitely all make mistakes.
