First time seeing a fire boat on the lake
I recently received an offer from Microsoft for a Program manager internship. I just found out that it wasn't at the location (local) i intended it to be and I have to relocate to Seattle. This really doesn't work out for my logistically and I was wondering if its possible to somehow switch it to a remote position. Please let me know if anyone has been in this situation before id greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

I interviewed for a lead knowledge analyst position. If you like research and are in the technical side of things in your particular area, it might be a good place for you. It’s more of you becoming a subject matter expert that consultants can tap on for expertise depending on client needs. It is client facing from time to time but only when necessary.
If you’re coming from a consulting background, they may tell you right upfront they don’t need a true consultant. I was told to interview at platinion as that seemed more up my alley.
Sorry for the late reply. I was told mid-120k~ish. They require around 4 to 6 years of experience for this position.
While this is a decent salary, it definitely doesn’t compare to salaries that consultants make at BCG with that many years of experience.
I have been told, however, that it’s possible to switch over to a more client facing role, but not sure what, if any, salary bump you might receive. Regardless, if you think this is the right fit, I would say it’s worth it as the team is only growing from what I heard during interviews and a great place to foster your personal and profession growth (my brother works for BCG and he can attest to this, as well.)
It’s a research role. You may work with teams who are client-facing but your role isn’t.
