They start with nasty letters, eventually sending it to collections?
They pull the amount owed from your last paycheck (which includes pay out of unused PTO). Usually that covers your signing bonus
They can sue you. You signed the contract. This isn’t “a no take backs” playground argument.
They can withhold from final paycheck and sue you for the rest. They likely will too.
Do you really want to be the jerk tho who owes someone money and is like “but yea but will they sue me?”
Probably to a lawyer who sends the nasty letters, then to a court when they will get back their money plus legal fees. Don’t be that guy.
I left Deloitte before my two year mark and had to pay back half the signing (as they do clawback by year). If you didn’t pay back, they said they would send to collections.
