What is a tactful way to ask my boss why he doesn’t respond to my texts? He ignored my last two.

I found out my colleague texted him at same time and he responded to her.

I sense a bit of jealousy on his end that this VP appreciates me and invited me to an event. And overall a bit of intimidation on his side.

Our team was about to get a new manager but when an exec mentioned her name to the client, the client said she heard bad things about her and would prefer them not on the team. Anyone hear of that b4?

Hey all - 2 years in consulting so far as a fairly "type b" personality - relaxed, uncompetitive, enjoy socializing with my colleagues. To be clear, this is not the same as being lazy or irresponsible - I am diligent and do my work well.

Nonetheless I think we can generally say finance/professional services etc. reward "type a" habitudes on its face.

What does it mean if you get feedback such as “know the room better?” I came across a team email that was addressed to my account team, and I approached my boss about my response to it. Then he gave me this feedback and told me not to engage in the conversation. Funny thing is a strategy lead just responded back to the team with the exact response I came up with, and my boss agreed with her...

I'm lateraling to another firm because frankly I think the management of this one is terrible, but the people (and individual partners) I actually work with are awesome. I've only been here for about 18 months, so I imagine that short time frame will make it extra awkward 😬
