We used to make and decorate Christmas cookies on Christmas Eve after mass or before mass depending on the age of my kids. Now we’re empty nesters and no one around. We’ll celebrate tomorrow.
It’s nice and quiet after a day of doing. I did realize that w 2 fiancés in the family I may have gone a little overboard with stocking stuffers for them. I mean it’s quite obvious lol. It’s so easy to buy for females and I’ve never had the fun of shopping for girls/women as a mom. Even the dog is a boy. Life is good
Same. I don’t mind coming in to get things done. I prefer it

I do the opposite. I take off at least 2 weeks for Christmas. This year I’m off from 12/22 to 1/2. Last year I took the entire month of December off.
I'm the opposite as well. I save my PTO every year so I can use it during the holidays. Knowing there's a light at the end of the tunnel is a great motivator.
I take off some time around the holidays because my boss is out for 2 weeks and my colleague saves her time off for January. No point in both of us working when there’s not much going on. I got all my work done by Tuesday so I won’t have a pile of work when I return Monday. Plus I get plenty of time to spend with family so it works out well for us.
