What is the best way to negotiate salary?

Hey guys I currently work as a SS derivatives trader for a small broker ans I recently got offered a job as an equity trader for a large asset manager (T. Rowe, BlackRock, Vanguard) but I want to switch to equity research not sure this would help me do that. Currently have no real growth opputunities at my current firm and pay will be better and I can get my CFA if I take the job. Any advice is appreciated, thanks in advance.

I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).

I manage 2 physician practices and one is extremely toxic. To the point the dr sides with staff even when I am trying to make corrective actions when patient care is in jeopardy. Would you rather stay in a boring job (good pay, good wlb, boring work) for a year and get your green card or switch to a better company and let the greencard go? The boring job is also does not have a lot of work in the pipeline.

Working at a place with less then 10% POC total. Then watched as the majority of those folks left after less than a year. This virtual work environment has reminded me how much MAIP used to anchor me to a physical sense of community.
