Hi All,
Need suggestions here. Please help me out. I was interviewed with IBM and got selected. Waiting for offer letter. Meanwhile got selected in another company and got offer too. Put down my ppr. Offer from another company is way beyond than IBM almost 22% more in terms of fixed. Now I’m confused that once IBM releases their offer then should I ask them to match with my holding or not ? Will they consider for negotiations? What’s your thoughts? IBM

BASIS is a good stream, but if you are more development minded, then try to get into a ABAP / Fiori Development project. If you are more inclined towards things like databases, troubleshooting, building systems then Basis is good...
If working in a Basis Support project, dont stay too long if you are not getting to do things like SAP Upgrades, DB upgrades, ECC to S4HANA conversion or migration.. study, do a couple of certifications (AWS/Azure, SAP, python, shell scripting ) and move out once you have 2.5 - 3 yrs experience..
I started same as you... had revolving shifts, but did what I wrote and am currently in a good company and good position... time and patience... but health comes first, so decide accordingly..
Hey, that's a good idea.
Does the revolving shift thing stop at some point?
It will when you become the Lead or when you get deputed to the clients office abroad... You will likely work in regular hours...
I think anything affecting your health is NEVER a good idea in the long run!
If you don't care about the money, why not look for another role/company that offers a better schedule at maybe a lower pay grade?
