Need some advice here. I am a fullstack developer with 5 yoe in Angular and Python. My aim is to crack FAANG companies. Now I got an offer from HSBC in a credit risk model monitoring role using Python. It is close to a data engineer role.
My question is that will it be a good idea to shift from development role to a model monitoring role if I want to move to FAANG in the future?Or does FAANG not prefer people who are not in core development roles?Amazon Microsoft Google Adobe PwC EY Citi Barclays JPMorgan Chase

Considering a return to BCG as I left with very good reviews but curious what other smaller firms’ opportunities may look like.
Yeah, so I'd think 175 + bonus makes sense
Maybe higher in industry, though who knows
2 years post-mba/phd or straight from undergrad? Eg were you an A or a C.
You’ll likely get whatever post-MBA level is in the best case, middle case something like our senior associate (in-between).
Chief
Probably the Post MBA level at EY-P ~$200-210 base plus bonus
You’ll join as Consultant at BCG, Associate at McKinsey, and either Consultant or Sr Associate at Bain. No MBB will hire you at Manager level after just a 1.5 year boomerang from C promotion
Thanks for the input - post mba level makes sense
