Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review. She has since left the company, but there’s crazy turnover in the company & in the HR department in particular. Just that an HR coordinator resigned. Is it worth going back into a dumpster fire w/ no leadership to gain experience?

Is it possible to switch path from tax associate to data analysis?

I want to leave public as a senior, but can’t find anything I’m interested in. I’ve been applying;g for manager and assistant controller roles, which has been really difficult. But I don’t really want a senior accountant role. I was thinking FP and A is a good choice. I’m looking for something that has good career progression and a better WLB balance, pay isn’t so important to me. Has anyone else dealt with this? Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I am currently trying to switch from partnership tax into a corporate finance/FP&A role - has anyone been able make this pivot? Any tips? I have a promising interview at a relatively large law firm in my area (+100 attorneys) next week. The position is for a transactional role in their real estate practice group, and they are seeking someone with at least 2 YOE. I have a bit over 7 YOE with a strong real estate/commercial lit. background. Over the past two years in my current position, I've been doing a lot more transactional work. The split is around 50% transactional and 50% lit.

I was informed today that my employment would be terminated at a tier-2 consulting firm in Toronto.
