1/3 boiling, 2/3 fridge -> perfect temp
The tap water in Flint also “worked fine”.
There is no visual clue for bad stuff in tap water
We used tap water, it's perfectly fine. And after never warming bottles for two kids, I'm happy to report they drank it all without issue and the suckers that use bottle warmers are just conditioning their kids to expect it. Totally unnecessary.
Used bottled water on the 1st and filtered tap on all 3 after that...cant tell the difference!
Good ol’ tap water. But not too hot, ok?
Really? I wad thinking atleast bottle water?
OP - we used bottled water or distilled nursery water (comes in jugs at Target). I'm sure tap is fine especially if water quality in your area is good & you drink from tap yourself
We use baby water or bottled by the gallon. Our local water is no good, we even have a slick filtration system and still don’t trust it
And yes, tab water no good
Some folks say Distilled water. That’s crazy. Bottled water is fine. Odds are your Tap water is fine too. Check the fluoride levels (below 6ppm is fine, higher can cause major issues). A filter (Pur or Brita) is fine too.
And pro-tip. Try to avoid always using a bottle warmer. Some kids become addicted to milk at a certain temperature and that makes travel or going out hard. Room temp is great.
We keep a bottle of water out on the counter and slowly go through it. Good temp, easy access. No warming. We have a warmer too for refrigerated breast milk
Used baby water until we forgot to buy some one night. Tap worked fine and have stuck with it
We used tap water and some bottled water. Never warmed it. But kid never breast fed so wasn't used to warm formula.
Yes BCG1, you’re right. I meant it worked fine in that the hardness did not upset his stomach or anything like that for that night.
I live a in a new development where I am going under he assumption that water is being tested with the addition of new pipes and the news about flint.
As a precaution I picked up one of those free water testing kits from Home Depot. Being free I’m not sure how good it will be but will look into a reliable test.
We actually switched even our consumption as adults to a water cooler and get large water jugs delivered every other week. Tap water really not to be trusted in US, huge difference to Switzerland or Germany
In jersey city the beer club used to do regular testing and published the results online. I trust those guys
The beer club? 😃
