Hate it when you’re a manager but don’t manage anything . All decisions are made at levels above you. You have no clue or authority or autonomy. Is anyone else stuck in the same boat?

Taking a new role in industry after 2 years in public. It’s about a 70% increase from current salary and between 25-30% increase from expected salary after promotion to Senior (find out later today what my new figure would have been). It’s a remote position making solid money and interesting work/field. Just worried I’m leaving public too soon. Raises will be 2-4% in new role until promotion so I will catch up in public about 3-4 years from now. Thoughts?
