I keep things as SIMPLE as possible. No tricky systems, no complicated apps. Usually it's just me and Notion against the world.
Being properly medicated. TBH that’s been the most consistent and biggest change to help my productivity.
Beyond that, any tool that YOU: 1) will actually use and 2) won’t get distracted by/go down rabbit holes with.
Personally, a word doc is the simplest and least distracting for me, and I don’t have to worry about losing it like a physical list.
That comment amount going down a rabbit hole hit home. I use OneNote but it can be a bit of a rabbit hole for me at times. 😁
I just use my Google calendar. It's not exactly a productivity tool, but I've gotten in the habit of putting everything in there, no matter how small or insignificant it might seem. It's the only way I'm able to stay on top and keep track of my to-do list.
What is Notion and what do you like about it?
Lunatask for task management. Their built-in habit tracker is pretty nice.
Pro
Lunatask keeps popping up for me I will have to give it a try
Use a project management tool that works for you even if it’s not what’s used by teams at your company. I work through Wrike with my team but I keep all my personal tasks and to-dos on Monday. The free version works for my needs and I love that it lets me customize what my tasks need to look like that week. Some weeks I need a color coded column for priority, others I need to focus on and sort by due dates. Since my symptoms fluctuate, having a tool that can flex for a hyper productive week to a I’m dying and can’t get anything done week is key.
I use my Outlook calendar and my reMarkable Pro to keep on track. I agree with others - the right tool is the one that works for you. Keeping it simple works for me!
Some of them. Mostly I have my own style that just kind of works for me.
1. Proper medication and sleep
2. Google calendar with EVERY appointment -- and I categorize them by color: with, medical, family, etc. All live in one place -- also making sure to include:
* Travel time (real appointment times in the title)
* Location: place or link to the meeting
3. Word file with my To Do list
* One file per month
* One heading per day (I use the Styles menu, so I can easily navigate, if needed)
* Strike through when completed
**** Most important part: I add tasks at the bottom when I think about them
-- that way, I know it's there so I can contribute the task I am on OR get to sleep without the unfinished task weighing on my mind
4. Time tracking app Clockify
* It's simple
* I can access it on my phone and computer simultaneously
* I would pay for it, but the free version does what I need
Honestly, the digital To Do list (on a Word file) has been a game changer!
