What’s the reputation/relative ranking among the Big 4? Who’s known as the premium player? Lower cost provider? Etc?

How is the career in Pursuits in any Big 4? Does it pay as good as core consulting work? How is the work life balance? I want to make a shift from client chargeable work to BD work for better work life balance. Is it worth switching?

Need some advice on the following situation I am currently in:
I have an offer from PwC India and will likely get one from EY India also (similar ctc). At the same time, Cognizant is willing to match these offers. The only difference is I will be a consultant at Cognizant and a senior associate at PwC.
I understand wlb will be screwed at either of those big 4 and clients will be India based.
Which of these should I choose?

exit opportunities for someone who got a good gpa from a well known school and a cpa who thought they would be doing something cool while building a foundation for a fruitful career but got stuck on state/federal claims and related government work instead? or is a full restart needed?

If you lateral across the Big 4, e.g. Associate to Associate, can you negotiate a higher level-grade in your offer letter (i.e. Associate 2)?

Currently an assurance senior 3 at EY (promoting to manager in Oct). Want to get insight or anyone who made transfer from one big 4 to another. Was it worth it? What’s the bump in salary? How hard was the transition for you (new terminology, tech, firm culture, etc)? Has anyone found roles in Big 4 or industry that allowed more work life balance when their kids were young without damaging future career trajectory? I'm a partner with young kids and feel like I'm missing out on too much of their lives. Wishful, but my dream job would have a lighter workload in terms of time and pressure for the next ~5 years, but not set me back too much (or at all) when the kids are older and tired of me in a few years and I'm ready to be back at work full force.

For those using voyager, does it take a really long time for deposits to settle? It's been like 1.5 weeks, my cash has been taken out of my bank account a while ago, but voyager still has all my deposits as pending.

Senior engineer making 135k and I was offered a promotion to engineering manager after completing a development plan. Near the end of the plan and I expect compensation talks to start soon. Based on some research around Boston and my role in the company, I feel 165k plus 10-15% bonus is fair. Nonetheless, first time going through something like this and asking for thoughts and comments.
