10 years experience with a Wharton MBA, $163k base seems really low for OP’s qualifications. Does total comp make it up?

Well it’s been 3 years since mba, you don’t get more if you have more pre mba experience. I’m in Boston

Any Slalom input? I hear good things about culture and op model but if there’s no way I’m making my current salary (200k with bonus) then I don’t need to talk to them

If you come in as a principal (SM equivalent), good chance you could be making the same range. Smaller company means higher percent comes from performance based bonuses, so YMMV. Also, FYI, mgmt positions are need based, so your level and comp will be offered based on gaps and not on your skill, so

Any offer or lack of offer has that caveat.

It will depend a lot on what you can tangibly bring to the table by way of skills and ability to grow the business. Your fancy MBA is a plus, but is not going to influence your level or comp unless it’s something that directly influences the role we are hiring you for. That said, there is a lot of latitude in pay bands. I wouldn’t worry too much about Glassdoor which may be biased downward by folks joining from implementation sweatshops *cough Accenture* (where most Slalomers are from)

Understood, thanks and makes sense! Any idea though what a manager level payband is??

Can somebody please explain to me why MBB and other top consulting firms are so adamant that you have an MBA? I majored in accounting, finance, and operations management at a top 10 undergrad business school and then got my masters in information systems from the grad school program. I took multiple MBA courses as electives when getting my masters and it seemed like those classes were very basic and easy. Idk if I would learn anything in an MBA program that I hadn’t already learned in undergrad

My fiancé recently told me that I don’t do anything worth appreciating in the midst of an argument about division of household labor.
