Which agencies have good strategic media relations departments? I want to move to an agency where PR is seen as strategic consultants not yes men. And I've been doing biotech media relations for almost 3 years and want to continue doing it since I have a science and engineering degree. But I'm open to tech, healthcare and sustainability PR too. Any suggestions on where to look next?

I just graduated and I have made it pass the third interview which was a two part working interview that I will receive compensation for. I have BS degree in healthcare professions and wanted to know if 40k is too low of salary to start off as a compliance officer for a pharmacy that provides discounted medications. My first 3 months will be training for my position but I will be paid the same. The job hasn’t offered me a dollar amount yet and I want to be best prepared.

I’ve been seeing all of the Instagram and Linked In posts from agencies in town showing their “commitment to transparency in hiring” and to hire more minorities in light of the BLM movement. I knew the numbers were bad, but holy shit, not THAT bad.
It’s infuriating to me, as a POC how many fucking times I applied, emailed and reached out to so many of these agencies without getting even the time of day.
I’ll believe their supposed commitments, when I actually see the results.

Think it is funny how recruiters seem to think the vague description "national market paying firm in X city" is at all enticing to one already at a national market paying firm in X city. We're kind of already there, maybe it would help you get us to actually bite if you had anything slightly special to emphasize
