Over the holidays, I got back on a David Sedaris kick. He was my favorite author back in college, but I hadn't re-read anything in a while. But Christmas put me in the mood to return to Holidays on Ice, and now, I am close to finishing Me Talk Pretty One Day again.
I'm reading Stephen King's The Stand again. I read it when I was a teen, as a dare lol. It took me nearly a month of constant reading and I honestly can't remember anything! Now I'm going through it again at a more leisurely pace. It make take me the rest of my life, but it's a good book.
I'm a firm believer in this as well, I feel like there's an inverse correlation with how stressed I am and how much reading I'm doing. I always seem to mentally be at my best when I'm in the middle of a book. I just finished The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie per my mom's recommendation. I'd never read anything by her before and found it really enjoyable.
I'm reading a lot of self-development books right now. I'm currently in the middle of The Power of Habit. It's amazing, I might even call it life-changing. I highly recommend it and already sent a copy to my mom and my sister. I really hope they read it, because I think it'll really help them.
The 12 week year has helped me a lot. It helps me with breaking down goals.
This is a great idea - I used to read so much - now I'm on Fishbowl and LI during the Superbowl 😭
